la route de la soie, the silk road, route of the spices, route des epices...

From Venice to Kyoto...

From Venice to Kyoto... before, when we openned the ballots of silk, the spices they travelled with, spred in the room the magic of the place they came from : the true appeal of the silk road, a road of civilisation for Europe.
This is why we created the collection the SILK ROAD, THE ROUTE OF THE SPICE inspired by the soul of every landmark of the route, with the soles of each shoe filled with the spice of each commecial port. The silks and cotton gauze were created with a Bangladeshy village. The silk brocades have been made in Venice with Luigi Bevilagua, the most famous venitian weaver, on the first Jacquart loom, the ancestor of computors, of which I will tell the story further on.
